FAQ

How many endings does Graveyard Keeper 2 have?
Verified sources record two final branches — Go or Stay — reached after the Palace Politics and Red Eye routes. Community sites also list three named endings (Portal Reopened, Crown of the Inquisitor, Undead Assembly), but that list comes from a single low-confidence source and is not yet fully verified. This page keeps to what two independent wikis agree on.
What war power do I need for The Last Battle?
Community walkthroughs put the requirement at 144 total war power and a full set of 4 squads. Squads are trained at the Barracks, four zombies each, and need armor plus a spear or bow. Update 1.007 also made zombie battles award red tech points, so war prep now feeds your tech tree too.
Do I need the Old God or the Red Eye at the palace?
The palace secret door asks for one of the two: awaken the Old God or keep the Red Eye. Both recorded routes continue past the door to the meeting with the other Keeper and the final Go or Stay choice — what differs beyond that point is exactly the part community sources do not yet agree on.

How many endings does Graveyard Keeper 2 have?

Honest answer first: the game is ten days old, and the ending count is still settling. What two independent wikis agree on is a pair of final branches — Go or Stay — at the end of one recorded endgame chain. Several community sites additionally list three named endings: Portal Reopened, Crown of the Inquisitor, and Undead Assembly. That three-ending list traces back to a single low-confidence source, so treat it as community reports, not yet fully verified — this page scopes itself to the cross-checked chain below and updates as better data lands.

What is the verified endgame chain?

The route documented by the Fextralife wiki runs like this:

  1. Work the Palace Politics route and the Red Eye route in parallel. Both feed the endgame.
  2. Complete the three pair-help quests on that path — community walkthroughs list them with a 90/100 reputation requirement per person involved.
  3. Survive The Last Battle. Community sources put the bar at 144 total war power and 4 squads.
  4. Open the palace secret door — the game asks for the Old God or for keeping the Red Eye.
  5. Meet the other Keeper and obtain the Greed portal shard.
  6. Assemble the shard at the Astrologer’s Tower to unlock the ending achievements.
  7. Make the final choice: Go, or Stay.

How do you win The Last Battle?

The battle is a town-defense siege, and your army is mostly zombies. The Barracks trains squads of four zombie fighters, up to four squad slots, and each fighter needs armor plus a spear or bow — all of it craftable, with the late-tier metal gear documented in the Steel Ingot guide. Every red skull on a zombie is a perk slot, so building your zombie workforce early is also war prep. And since patch 1.007, zombie battles themselves award red tech points, so the army pays into progression even before the finale.

What is still unverified?

  • The three named endings — single-source, flagged above.
  • What the Old God / Red Eye door choice changes after the palace — sources agree the door needs one of them, not what it locks afterwards.
  • Any post-ending state — nobody has documented it reliably yet.

The game launched on 2026-09-22 and patches are still landing (see the release date and patch history page), so ending details may firm up quickly. Meanwhile, the surest way to be ready for the finale is economic: run the production calculator until your supply lines are boring.
